If you've been fitting standard softwood door linings for years, you'll know the routine: pick up your linings, get them on site, sand, prime, wait, prime again, then get on with the job. It works, but it takes time, and time costs money.
That's why we're pleased to introduce Metsä Wood Primed Softwood Door Linings, now in stock across all three of our branches.
What's New?
Metsä Wood's primed door linings arrive factory-primed and ready to fit. That means no site priming, no drying time between coats, and no wasted primer. They're available in two widths to suit the most common wall constructions:
115mm — ideal for standard stud partition walls
138mm — suited to thicker blockwork or dot-and-dab finished walls
Metsä Wood is a well-regarded name in engineered and processed timber products, and their factory-applied primer provides a consistent, even base coat that's genuinely hard to replicate with a brush and a tin on site.
What's the Difference in Cost?
Our Metsä Wood primed linings are priced at just £2.00 more per set than our standard unprimed softwood door linings.
That's it. Two pounds.
Consider what priming a set of door linings on site actually costs you: the primer itself, a brush or roller, the time spent applying it, and - critically - the drying time before you can move on. On a multi-door project, that adds up fast. The £2.00 premium per set pays for itself from the very first door, and keeps paying on every one after that.
